Where to begin?! The inside of the tap room is super cool. I've been to many breweries over the years and they nailed the inside. High ceilings...games...open...plenty of tables and bar space...and the bartenders were super friendly and prompt. Offered their advice on what to try and with so many options, I started with a flight since it was my first time here.
I highly recommend a flight if you're a first timer. I then ordered from the BBQ joint inside called Smoked Out and Holy cow was their Flying Pig amazing. I've never had a pulled pork sandwich like that and the fries were super hit and seasoned perfectly. Paired perfectly with the brews.
I can handle a little IPA action so I chose to try their Bootsy IPA and was not disappointed. Crisp...citrus...and just enough of IPA to compliment this summer day. I'm only in town for the week but if I'm ever back in the area, this would be a go to spot for sure.
Don't hesitate...check this place out and enjoy!
Visiting from Georgia on business... nice place and great atmosphere. I had the "Trey" Amber, which was excellent. Lots of drink choices and the barbecue was tasty. I definitely recommend visiting this place... I really enjoyed it and plan to return when I'm back in the area
Nice people and nice atmosphere. Good screens to watch some games with family and friends. Pretty good food from the restaurant within.
Really enjoyed stopping in for a pint. This Fretboard was not on my list to check out given the experience at the Hamilton location. This is NOT the same at all. The only similarities are the name and a few beer options. This is what you expect a brewery to be these days. Great selection of brews, good food, friendly staff, open area for seating, kids area and a band stage. Definitely worth a stop to check out.
Decided to stay outside Cincinnati for a night as we made our way to Lexington and found this true gem.
Located in a small industrial area, the brewery has a musical theme. Great decor, plenty of parking and food is available by Smoked Out Cincy BBQ. Picnic bench type seating.
Tried their lager Acoustic which was only 4.0ABV but it was light and refreshing. A pint cost 6.00. They do have Beer To Go.
They have recurring weekly events such as Trivia night,Open Mic and Live Music.
We went on a Friday night and there was a live band that was great. They did not charge a cover but I'm not sure if this is always the case.
For a fun and relaxing evening, I would strongly suggest a visit to Fretboard!
I will literally go here for the food and music alone at this point. The beer is great, but the food is out of this world. Very good and extremely well done by these guys, as you can tell by my *mainly* food review 😂
Atmosphere: classic open-seating brewery with a stage for music and "in-house" food via Smoked Out. Merch wall
Service: great, attentive, lively, and on top of everything.
Bathrooms: good, not bad. Plenty of room.
Food: this is where this place shines. I didn't have a bad bite. The smoked meats were very deliciously cooked. Loaded smoked meat fries were phenomenal. Their regular fries might be the best fries I've had, and I'm a very picky fry person. If you have bad fries, you're dead to me. These were simply divine. Wings were all very good and not overcooked. Smoked pulled pork sandwich was outstanding.
Beer: a bit of everything. The hazy IPAs they had were all different and good in their own right. They didn't have any barrel aged beers when I went unfortunately.
Price: par for breweries. Food pricing was fair.
Overall: 95/100 would absolutely recommend. I hope these guys extend their barrel aged offerings and keep up with the good work and food here.
Not really reinventing the wheel, but a nice brewpub with a friendly atmosphere and good beer.
The fretboard bar top is a nice touch.
Service at the bar was good.
Interesting selection of beers, from a classic pilsner to crazy barrel aged imperial stout.
Theme nights and a stage for live music. Prices fair.
The wife and I had a great time here, and there were a lot of choices of beer, food was fantastic...definitely check this place out. Tuesday night is Trivia night
